GRAPHIC DESIGNER Independent Agent

Full-time or freelance

EDImonde Inc., a publishing house specializing in premium travel books, and its partners are looking for a creative, organized graphic designer with a passion for publishing and digital media.

The successful candidate will take part in creating the visual identity of our books, our website and our international promotional campaigns.

Main responsibilities:

• Design the layout of the books.
• Create attractive, professional book covers.
• Prepare print files that meet production standards.
• Produce digital versions (PDF, ePub, etc.).
• Create maps, tables, illustrations and infographics.
• Ensure compliance with EDImonde’s graphic identity.
• Design the website’s graphic elements.
• Create banners, icons, illustrations and promotional visuals.
• Produce images optimized for the web.
• Collaborate with the web team to improve the user experience (UX/UI).
• Adapt visuals to different platforms and devices.
• Design print and digital advertisements.
• Create visuals for social media.
• Produce illustrated newsletters.
• Design brochures, flyers, posters and promotional material.
• Produce web advertising banners.
• Adapt advertising campaigns to different formats.
• Develop graphic guidelines and visual standards.
• Take part in developing new visual concepts.
• Work with writers, journalists, photographers and the marketing team.
• Take part in planning meetings for new projects.
• Meet production deadlines.

Skills sought:

• Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written.
• Excellent command of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite: InDesign, Photoshop, etc.
• Good understanding of printing standards and file preparation.
• Excellent typography and layout skills.
• A well-developed artistic sense.
• Attention to detail and quality.
• Creativity and the ability to propose new ideas.
• Excellent priority management.
• Ability to work on several projects simultaneously.

Desired profile:

• Degree in graphic design or equivalent experience.
• Experience in publishing (a significant asset).
• Experience in designing books, magazines, guides, websites and advertising material.
• Team spirit.
• Respect for deadlines.
